We are in the midst of an actual blizzard tonight!! I know, for you Great Northerners this is nothing, but I can't remember ever having a blizzard warning out before! We have FEET of snow outside and the two major interstate highways that run through Missouri are completely shut down. I love it--The Great Blizzard of 2011. Or, as my husband has nicknamed it, Snowpocalypse. The gusts of snow were literally fighting it out in the air as the flakes fell to the ground. My boys were in it up to their knees this afternoon, and our dogs have absolutely refused to set paw outside as the drifts in our backyard come almost to their necks. I keep thinking of a
Little House on the Prairie episode when I was a kid in which Pa opened the door after a blizzard and found a wall of snow in front of him. I was trying to remember how they got out. Maybe Pa climbed up the chimney, I don't know. It's not that extreme here, but I'm thinking we're probably out of school the rest of the week. Call me crazy, but I love it!
Blessings and Peace,
Sara

Ummm...I'm stuck. |

Can you see me now? |

Making warm goodies. |

You might be able to make me come inside, but you are NOT taking my hat!! |
That is a lot of snow!! WOW! Just stay warm and definitely be safe if you have to go out for anything. Have fun being snowed in! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. You kids look like they are having so much fun. We are running out of places to put our snow. Seriously. I live in town and our yards are tiny. There's no place to put the snow that comes out of driveway. As it stands our neighbors first floor windows are covered on the driveway side (we have a shared driveway). I hope the ground hog is right and spring is on her way.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!

I know! I've completely blocked my husband's truck in the driveway trying to make a path for the van! Oh well... this too shall pass. :-)
ReplyDeleteSnowpocalypse - I love it. Also appreciate that you guys took your share of the white stuff for once. We're more than happy to share. Love the look on your kids faces. And those pajamas are wonderful. One of my regrets in life is they don't make footie pajamas for adults.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine. It hasn't snowed here in 26 years, and we may get 2 inches Friday morning. We are SO excited to see possibly see 2 inches. Even a few flurries would be fun!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think Pa climbed out from the loft window. We don't have any snow here . . yet, but it has been really cold. 19 yesterday with a wind chill factor of 5. Brrrr.
ReplyDeleteWe got our fair share here in KC. But I think you guys win the award for most snowfall.
ReplyDeleteThe boys are absolutely cutie pies! Mine is coming off an ear infection, so he had to watch The snow from the window. :(
BTW, you're looking great too! Love the hair!
Thanks, Teri! Chris does a pretty good job! :-) Ugh--ear infections are awful. Garrett had them chronically his first year. He had ear tubes placed before his 1st birthday--they were truly an amazing blessing!!
ReplyDeleteWe totally need to get together sometime and catch up--maybe this Spring after we finally thaw out!! :-)
